Newly Born

Golden key upon a locked box, attracts me to that which lies within,

Yet my thoughts are garbled, and flooded by those akin,

One turn the lid opens, a dove released and stares through my sheltered eyes, stoking the heart’s fire, diminishing the lies

Breathing in new life, the baptist arrives, to wash and cleanse away the compromise

The outers melt from the inner flame, Burning away all of the same

Bathed and restored, butterflies burst into flight

Their wings wrap me in warmth, and hold me tight

The sweet voice of Ashera singing a lullaby

Rest my child, no longer to ask why

My body and mind now lucid, waves of being crash into me, a rush of energy, with joy, I fly…
