In the US, the Mexican Holiday “Dias de Muertos,” begins today on Halloween and is celebrated through November 2. It is a celebration of life and death. The living honoring the souls of the departed.
In honor of our ancestors, I offer a prayer for our loved ones who have departed before us.
Forgiveness
Forgiveness restores
with courage given by our Father
the child rises from the tomb
Gloria Gloria in unum et in saecula saeculorum
Amen
It is a beautiful holiday Jordan, one that has deep roots and meaning. Enjoy. I so love your poem!!❤❤❤

Although it was an animated children’s movie CoCo was a wonderful exploration of the cultural significance of this celebration.

Amazing image and poem, Jordy. Dias de muertas is such a culturally interesting holiday, much richer than what Halloween has become for many of us (dressing up and overdosing on sugar). I wish you a wonderful holiday.

Thank you, Diana. Yes, it is what our Hallow’s Eve was meant to be. I had some forgiving to do, hence the poem.
Have wonderful evening as well!🎃
