Liebster Award Nomination!

Jordy’s Streamings has been nominated for the Liebster Award!

Thank you Tanusri Sen at With Nature for nominating me! Both of us just recently started our blogs! It is a joy to see them flourish!

It is a pleasure to learn about fellow bloggers and to share bits of me as well.

Here are the RULES :

1. Acknowledge the blogger that gave it to you and display the award.

2. Answer 11 questions that blogger gives you.

3. Give 11 random thoughts about yourself.

4. Nominate 11 blogs and notify them of their nomination.

5. Give these blogs 11 questions to answer.

Questions asked by Tansusri

1. What do you think are the qualities of a blogger that makes him unique?

Every blogger has their own flavor of creativity. When they combine it with passion real nuggets of uniqueness come through.

2. What one thing will you advise young generation?

Follow your heart and inner wisdom, and try to rise above social pressure.

3. What does friendship mean to you?

It means the world to me. True friends are priceless and I cherish each moment with them.

4. Best memory of your life

My early twenties, exploring the mountain ranges and deserts of California with my close friends. Being in nature has always been where my heart beats the quietest.

5. What do you think about your country?

I grew up in the United States but my heart is elsewhere. The US is young compared to the rest of the world and has a lot to learn!

6. How do you judge a person(in general)?

I very rarely if ever judge, which has been a fault of mine. I have learned discernment is much better than judgement.

7. What are your views on gender equality?

I was strongly influenced by social politics in the 70’s and 80’s when the Feminist movement in the US was finding steam and paving the way for the younger generations. I also grew up in San Francisco where gender equality took on new face with the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Community. What did I learn from all of this? That a human being is human first and gender lives in their heart. For me it is sad that here we are in the 21st Century and we still have to worry about inequality.

8.Your favourite person(the one you love or adore)

The One who’s light shines everywhere at all times.

9. Your passion in life is___

My passion is free self expression for all!!

10. What is your concept of good and evil?

Tyranny is the worse evil.

11. Your favorite beach is _____.

Ocean Beach, San Francisco, California. The diversity of people is glorious.

11 Random thoughts about me.

  1. Freedom of self expression is my passion.
  2. I can sit and contemplate nothing for hours.
  3. I am part cat.
  4. I love my dog Luna.
  5. I am very loyal to friends and family
  6. I work in insurance, which is counterintuitive to who I appear to be
  7. I am both creative and pragmatic
  8. I can’t draw
  9. I dislike I’s
  10. I enjoy downtime and am mostly an introvert
  11. My soul is a dancer. Mostly a whirling dervish, but my body doesn’t seem to want to get with the program

The 11 Blogs that I nominate are:

  1. Willow Tree Poetry
  2. Poetry for Healing
  3. Tao-Talk
  4. Message in a Stanza
  5. Iain Kelly Writing
  6. Neelstoria

  3. What are three of your favorite pastimes?
  4. Who is your favorite author?
  5. What is your favorite reading genre?
  6. Why is it your favorite?

    1. Love your answers! And I love that you participate in the awards. I know I am also someone who does not wish to participate, but I very much enjoy seeing others receive them.

I wonder if someone created a reward that was much simpler and easier to receive and give if that would make them more popular. Too many rules tend to scare people away.

      Friendly Neighbor Award

      1. Nominate 0-3 other bloggers.
      2. Ask them to nominate 0-3 other bloggers.
      3. List 0-3 random things about yourself.
      4. List (or not) what you consider to be your best piece of writing.

I have just nominated you for the Friendly Neighbor Award! 😀

      1. Great thoughts. Most blogs I nominated didn’t want to participate. I probably won’t anymore, it is a daunting task.

Maybe we can come up with our own shorter funner format as you suggest.

        🤩🤗

    2. Dear Harper, you write very well and if you enjoy it, continue. It just takes a bit to learn the in’s and out’s. I too learned woth posting this award nomination that most people don’t want to partipate in the awards. They are not for every body. We learn and grow and set to our next writing project. I enjoy your blog. Keep going if you love it. 💗

    4. Thank you for selecting me for this award Jordy. I have stopped participating in all awards this year, award free blog. They are fun I must admit. I love reading your answers and your creative questions to those who will accept the award. hugs.

        1. Jordy, I appreciate the kind gesture. I had only been on this site 2 weeks when that happened. I just don’t have time to do everything that’s involved. I can see how it would be good practice but I choose not to participate. There’s another reason I want no awards. I was so new I don’t remember who said this but someone said to me, “Ofcourse you don’t have to participate but if you don’t, it’s frowned upon seriously. ” After that there’s no way I’d do it. Sounded like a threat to me. Worse than that, it reminded me of my phony Alabama grandmother when she say to me, “It’s simply not done, my dear.” Then, you can bet your life, I’d do it. Lol

          1. Thank you, Harper. I completely understand. It is not for everyone. However, just to explain, this is a post that I posted on my blog for the public. I listed 11 blogs that I would nominate but did not list yours. But now that I know you would prefer not to be nominated, I will not consider you in the future. We are all good, just wanted to clarify that this is a public post meant for a general audience. Hope you are enjoying getting your blog up and running. Cheers!

          2. Well I should have probably known that. Then again, maybe not. I’ve really enjoyed doing this but I might not be cut out for a blog. I will think about this. I just love to write and read.
