Summer does not come at once
Its grip on that which gives it birth
Lingers…
In glimpse and taste and smell
With grind and crunch on dale and fell
From frozen earth to green stalk’s birth
It rises.
⦿
And in that rising is our eye
Serene…
Which sees the whole but touches part
A joining of the mind and heart
And knows in that unchanging change
There lives Creation
