Will I wallow
in feeling hollow
or hallowed
the way of this current world
carries no flag to unfurl
no heroic fight
no Herculean plight
Just old tired fools
that decay
because they are cruel
greed grief pallor
absolutely bereft of any valor
the warrior’s fearless heart is not like
these fallen leaves that decompose
rather now to take solace
in quiet repose
silently awaiting a time
to restore
the earth sun and moon to their
places of honor
